Bungtuah
Bungtuah is a village located in Senthang District, Hakha Township, Chin State. It is situated 55 miles from Hakha. Bungtuah village was founded by Pu Rum Ca from Sakta village in AD 1705. The village is surrounded by six neighboring villages: Langpho, Tinam, Sakta, Lunghau, Lungcawi, and Sumsi.
Lunghau, Sumsi, and Lungcawi villages lie to the east of Bungtuah. Sakta, Dinlopa, and Langpho villages are located to the west. When the British arrived in the Chin Hills, Pu Bawi Ceu and Pu Van Duai were the village chiefs. At that time, Bungtuah had 30 households.
The mountains around Bungtuah include Sisialtlang, Kawrangtlang, Lungpuktlang, and Vongvaraltlang, located to the southeast and west of the village. The Khanpui Stream and Riva River flow to the east, while Phalva Stream and Vongva River lie to the west.
There are two churches in Bungtuah village: the Baptist Church and the Believer Church. The pastors serving these churches are Rev. Cung Nawl, Rev. Thawng Kung, Rev. Ni Cung, and Rev. Phun Zam.
Education in Bungtuah village includes a middle school. The village has 58 households and approximately 380 inhabitants.
