Phaizawng Village is one of the founding and oldest villages in Senthang District. Pu Mang Sui (Thian Hlun) was the first founder of Khuangcawi, which means "a lady lifted by the crowd." He had a song that goes:
"Khuangcawi cu, Lung Tin Pi, Mang Sui se, a zungzata, kha pai maw, ka min cu, cawng hai ee, tuang zong nawh."
The meaning of the song is: "Lung Tin Pi Mang Sui started the Khuangcawi first. That is correct. My name and culture are learned by others."
