TLANGRUA (B) VILLAGE

Tlangrua (B) is a village located in Thantlang Township, Chin State, Myanmar. It is situated approximately 32 miles from Hakha City and 9 miles from Thantlang City. Tlangrua (B) Village was founded on April 12, 1977, by Pu Thawng Cem, Pu Lian Kung, Pu Tawk Ling, Pu Vai Mang, Pu Dar Kham, Pu Thang Lur, and Pu Hrang Awi.

The village is bordered by five neighboring villages: Kuhchah Village to the east, Vambai Village to the west, Thantlang to the southeast, Hriphi (A) Village to the northeast, and Thlualam Village to the southwest. Tlangrua (B) is surrounded by several mountains and rivers. Notable mountains include Lungar Tlang to the east, Parfingbotlang to the west, and Vuichip Tlang to the southwest. Major rivers and streams include the Lungchuanva River to the east, the Sihpiva Stream to the west, the Khuangthlakva to the southeast, and the Khuava River to the northeast.

The first missionary worker in Tlangrua (B) Village was Saya Sang Uk Cung. There are two churches serving the village community:

  1. Baptist Church – Full-time Pastors: Rev. Ram Erh and Pastor Tluang Chin Sang

  2. Assembly of God Church – Full-time Pastors: Rev. Ngun Vung and Pastor Thawng Za Uk

Tlangrua (B) Village has a high school. The villagers primarily earn their livelihood through farming and shifting cultivation. Currently, Tlangrua (B) Village has 68 households, with an estimated population of about 312. In addition, there are 30 IDP households with approximately 100 inhabitants.
