Dinlopa

Dinlopa is a village located in the western part of Senthang District, Hakha Township, Chin State. It lies along the main Matupi Highway, about 31 miles from Hakha. The village is situated approximately 5,800 meters above sea level. Dinlopa was founded in AD 1965 by Pu Than Hnin, Pu Tum Khar, Pu Run Ceu, Pu Hram Bawm, and Pu Than Awi from Cintlang Village. The village spans about one mile in length and roughly one furlong in width.

Dinlopa is surrounded by four neighboring villages: Sakta village to the east, Khuapi village to the south, Dongva village to the west, and Phaipha (B) village to the north. Several streams flow near the village, including Thangkauva, Tithuva, Tuppiva, Hrianglakva, Lungsimva, Laizeva, and Singva to the east. To the north are the Bawinu River, Buitlongva, Ticanva, Riva River, Ripiva River, Zasiva, and Ngaidatongva streams.

The village is notable for its natural landscape with several mountains, cliffs, and ranges. Tuppitlang Mountain, shared by Dinlopa, Sakta, and Khuapi villages, is the most beautiful and famous mountain in the area. The Longtangputlang range and the Richard Monument Stone Mountain are located to the north, bordering Phaipha (B) village.

In AD 1981, a primary school was established in Dinlopa, which has since expanded to include education up to the middle school level. The village has four churches: Baptist Church, United Pentecostal Church, Roman Catholic Church, and Ramthar Church. Pastors serving the community include Rev. Za Biak Hmung and Saya Cung Hmun Sang at the Baptist Church, and Saya Kap Thawng Hnin at the United Pentecostal Church.

The villagers earn their living through farming, shifting cultivation, animal husbandry, crafts, and some government jobs. Dinlopa village has approximately 85 households and about 450 inhabitants.
