Lungcawi is a village located in Zokhua Province, Hakha Township, Chin State, Myanmar. It is 50 miles from Hakha. The village was founded in AD 1986 by Pu Hrang Thum from Tinam Village. Before its founding, there were only two or three houses in the area.

The story of Lungcawi’s founding is closely tied to its Christian heritage. In 1976, Bishop CK No Chum—founder of Gospel for Asia (GFA) and the Believer Church—along with his friends, came to Tinam and preached the message of salvation. Pu Hrang Thum and several Tinam villagers were born again, and God revealed to Pu Hrang Thum the vision to establish a “spiritual land” in Lungcawi. As a result, 19 households with about 50 people from Tinam relocated to form the new village. Lungcawi was founded after both the arrival of Christianity and Myanmar’s independence.
