KHUABUNG (A) VILLAGE
Khuabung (A) is a village located in the western part of Zophei District, Thantlang Township, Chin State, Myanmar. It is situated approximately 50 miles from Hakha City and lies at an estimated elevation of 5,272 meters above sea level. Khuabung (A) Village was founded in AD 1790 by Pu Hmun Tling, Pu Van Thang, Pu Sang Hnin, Pu Thawng Ku, Pu Ha Bawm, Pu Thla Thang, and Pu Tei Kham.
The village is bordered by six neighboring villages: Hlamphei Village to the northeast; Zephai (A) and Zephai (B) Villages to the northwest; Ngalang Village and Lawngtlang Village to the west; and Lungcawipi Village to the southwest. The village is surrounded by several mountains and rivers, including Ralvennakbo Tlang to the east, Tlangsangpo Tlang and Hrangkhatlang to the north, and the Azuiva River.
The first missionary worker in Khuabung (A) Village was Rev. Ni Hmung. In AD 1960, he was transferred to Sittwe City, Rakhine State, to continue his missionary work. There is one church in the village:

Khuabung (A) Village has a high school. The villagers primarily earn their livelihood through farming and shifting cultivation. Currently, Khuabung (A) Village has 54 households, with an estimated population of about 246.
