Dawn is a village located in Thantlang Township, Chin State, Myanmar. It is situated along the border with Mizoram State, India, and is approximately 70 miles from Hakha City. The village stands at an estimated elevation of 5,194 feet above sea level.

Dawn was founded between AD 1830 and 1835 by Pu No Tlir (Hnialum), Pu Van Lian (Famcun), Pu Kam Thai (Mualcin), and Pu Chawn Hmung (Famcun).

Dawn Village is surrounded by beautiful natural features, including mountains and rivers:

  • Dawnva – to the south
  • Puva and Tiova River – to the west

These natural resources contribute to the village’s landscape and support local agriculture and daily life.

Religion and Churches

The first missionary workers in Dawn Village were Saya Hram Hnin and Saya Bual Cung (CCOC).
