RUAKHUA VILLAGE

Ruakhua is a village located in Thantlang Township, Chin State, Myanmar. It is situated approximately 55 miles from Hakha City. Ruakhua Village was founded in AD 1860 by Pu Al Mang, Pu Al Ce, Pu Chun Lo, Pu Cia Ung, Pu Kip Kual, Pu Mang He, and Pu Than Khuah. The village lies at an estimated elevation of 5,308 meters above sea level.

The village is bordered by four neighboring villages: Hmunlipi Village to the east, Saikah Village to the west, Thau Village to the north, and Vanzang Village to the south. Ruakhua is surrounded by several natural features, including Vanga Tlang (Thautlang) Mountain to the northwest. The village also has several rivers and streams, including the Lahva River, Khuaiva, Khuatuva, and Rualvungva.

The first missionary worker in Ruakhua Village was Rev. Tial Uk. There is one church in the village:

  1. Baptist Church – Full-time Pastors who have served include Rev. Tial Erh, Rev. Hrang Tiam, Rev. No Lin, Rev. Tial Uk, Rev. Hial Ling, and Rev. Peng Cung

Ruakhua Village has a middle school. The villagers primarily earn their livelihood through farming and shifting cultivation. Currently, Ruakhua Village has 92 households, with an estimated population of about 485.
