CANGVA

Cangva is a village located in the western part of Senthang District, Hakha township, Chin State. It is situated 70 miles from Hakha. The village was founded in AD 1880 by Pu Than Cuai and Pu Duh Hnawm, who came from Lungtar village. It has been 140 years since its founding.Originally, Cangva was located within the land area of Hakha. On November 8, 1923, Pu Lian Hre was appointed village chief by the British. The village was placed under the rule of Pu Lian Hram, chief of Khuapi village. Leium (A) village was later founded and separated from Cangva village. When the British arrived, Pu Tang Ling was serving as village chief, and the village had about 40 households.

CHAWNCUM

Chawncum is a village located in the eastern part of Senthang District, Hakha township, Chin State. It is situated 18 miles from the city of Gangaw. Chawncum village was founded in AD 1928 by the following settlers from Buanlung village: Pu Sui Hu (leader), Pu Khua Lei, Pu Hmun Kar, Pu Len Hmung, Pu Ruang Lo, Pu Hrang Thluai, Pu Sa Tu, Pu Khua Kung, and Pu Ram Dun. The land where they settled belonged to the Surkhua chiefs, Pu Van Kio and Pu Tin Thang, and as such, Chawncum was placed under the rule of Chief Pu Van Kio.

LOKLUNG

Loklung is a village located west of the Hakha border in Senthang District, Chin State, Myanmar. It lies approximately 9 miles from Hakha and is situated about 6,110 meters above sea level. Loklung village was founded in AD 1932 by settlers from Buanlung village, including Pu Ui Kung, Than Dun, Hrang Kual, Hmun Ung, Ruang Kar, Knok Cin, Phun Zam, and Lai Chum.

DINLOPA

Dinlopa is a village located in the western part of Senthang District, Hakha Township, Chin State. It lies along the main Matupi Highway, about 31 miles from Hakha. The village is situated approximately 5,800 meters above sea level. Dinlopa was founded in AD 1965 by Pu Than Hnin, Pu Tum Khar, Pu Run Ceu, Pu Hram Bawm, and Pu Than Awi from Cintlang Village. The village spans about one mile in length and roughly one furlong in width.

TILAK

Tilak is a village located in the eastern part of Senthang District, Hakha Township, Chin State. It is situated 12 miles from Gangaw city. The village was founded in AD 1975 by Pu Uk Mang from Phaipha (A) village. He was joined by Pu Hre Lian from Hausen village, Pu Do Ci, Pu Hau Len, and Pu Duh Mang from Daidin village.

LEIUM (B)

Leium (B) is a village located in the eastern part of the Senthang District, Hakha Township, Chin State. It is situated 58 miles from Hakha. The village was founded 39 years ago, in AD 1987, by Pu Tum Bau (Innhmai) who came from Leium (A) village.Leium (B) is part of the Cangva village block in eastern Senthang District. Other villages in this block include Cangva village, Bungzung village, Leium (A) village, Keizuan village, Chawncum village, and Tilak village.
